Amir was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2017 and will return to the firm in the fall of 2017 as an associate practising primarily in the areas of securities/corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate/commercial law.
Amir joined the firm as a summer student in 2015 and articled with the firm in 2016/2017.
Amir completed law school at the University of Toronto. He has an Honours BA (Political Science and History) from the University of Toronto. During law school, Amir was a caseworker at Downtown Legal Services, the Director of the Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada and a Student Ambassador. Amir also worked as a research assistant (contract law) to Professor Claire Mumme.
Amir founded the You Can Play Project’s Young Professionals Network and he currently serves as its co-chair.
