Ryan practises primarily in the areas of securities, corporate finance and corporate/commercial law. Ryan has acted for clients in connection with public offerings and private placements of securities, commercial agreements, mergers, acquisitions, regulatory filings, compliance with securities laws, corporate governance, leasing and other commercial real estate matters.
Ryan has acted on behalf of clients in a variety of industries such as technology, mining, financial services and real estate.
Ryan joined the firm as a summer student in 2014 and completed his articles with the firm in 2016.
While attending law school at Queen’s University, Ryan completed a joint program to obtain his Master of Arts in Economics and received the Skelton-Clark Prize in Law and Economics. At Queen’s, Ryan played for the Faculty of Law hockey team and was a volunteer editor for the Queen’s Law Journal and the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal.
Ryan is currently on secondment to CI Financial, a public company client of the firm.
