Katie received a Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor and a Juris Doctor (summa cum laude) from the School of Law at the University of Detroit Mercy through the Dual JD Program. She received the Board of Governors medal for graduating with the highest academic standing in her program.
Prior to law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Paralegal Studies from Humber College and was a licensed paralegal. Katie’s passion for law stems from a desire to leverage her legal knowledge to provide creative solutions catered to her clients’ needs.
While in law school, she assumed a mentorship role to first-year law students as part of the Peer Mentorship Program, served as a student advisor to the Career Services Office, and acted as a facilitator for high school outreach. In Michigan, she held an externship at the Federal District Court and served clients at the Federal Pro Se Clinic.
Outside of law, you can find Katie playing hockey, travelling or enrolling in classes to learn a new skill. The new skill that she is currently striving for is scuba diving.
