Jeff is an associate practising primarily in the areas of corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial law. Jeff first joined the firm as a summer student in 2020 and articled with the firm in 2021-2022.
Jeff earned a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School where he completed the Tax Law Curricular Stream. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (With Distinction) from Simon Fraser University.
During law school, Jeff was involved in numerous activities including the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic, the Lerners Cup Moot, the Osgoode Hall Law Journal, as well as working as a Research Assistant in the Constitutional Law Department. He was the recipient of the Art Vertlieb Q.C. Award and the Cassels Brock & Blackwell Prize for highest standing in Ethical Lawyering in a Global Community.
His recent paper critiquing the legal underpinnings of the Canadian General Anti-Avoidance Rule was nominated for publication and led to Jeff receiving the Ronald Robertson Q.C. Memorial Tax Prize.
Outside of law, Jeff’s interests include the Toronto Blue Jays, mixed martial arts, and guitar.
