Natalie Tershakowec

Natalie is an associate practising primarily in the areas of corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial law. Natalie joined the firm as a summer student in 2018 and articled with the firm in 2019-2020.

Recent firm mandates that Natalie has been involved with include:

  • Flow Water Inc. $90 million private placement offering and listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange
  • Mind Medicine (MindMed) Inc. $32 million private placement and listing on NEO Exchange Inc. and $13.2 million bought deal prospectus offering
  • Acting for the agents on Goldshore Resources Inc. and Sierra Madre Developments Inc. combined $25 million private placement offering and flow-through subscription receipts
  • Acting for the underwriters on Osino Resources Corp. $14 million overnight marketed equity financing

Natalie earned a Juris Doctor (cum laude) from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa. Prior to law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours) from Queen’s University.

During her time in law school, Natalie co-created and organized the Ottawa Law Classic, raising approximately $25,000 in two years for Do It For Daron, an Ottawa youth mental health charity. She also sat on the Faculty’s English Program Assembly as a student representative and was an active member of the University of Ottawa’s Ukrainian Students’ Club.

During her final year at law school, Natalie spent a semester studying abroad at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Natalie is active in her community and sits on the board of directors of the Ukrainian Canadian Art Foundation and is a member of the Scholarship Committee of Buduchnist Credit Union. Natalie is also a supervising lawyer with the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic which provides legal services to early stage entrepreneurial ventures in the financing and equity structuring stages of growth.

Outside of law, Natalie’s interests include watching and playing sports, painting and cooking.
