Ari Yakobson

Ari is counsel in the areas of corporate finance, M&A, debt products and real estate. Ari has acted as a trusted adviser to a large number of mid-market companies on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance matters and is also an active adviser and principal investor in numerous real estate projects and operating companies.

Ari has an entrepreneurial background and has ventured into many diverse businesses. Prior to the sale, Ari was a shareholder and director of Astley Gilbert, Canada’s largest architectural, engineering and construction printer. He is also the co-founder and Director of Blo Blow Dry Bar, with 130 locations across Canada and the United States. Ari engineered a successful partial sale of Blo to a large US-based private equity group. Ari was also the founder and CEO of Melonhead Corp., the largest chain of children’s hair salons in Canada, which he successfully sold by way of a private equity transaction in 2012.

Ari, with his partners, is a lead shareholder and director in a series of construction-related companies in cabinetry, HVAC, framing, roofing and flooring spaces. Ari’s real estate ventures include the acquisition, construction and management of over 1M square feet of industrial real estate throughout Southwestern Ontario as well as hundreds of residential units in his multi-residential portfolio.
