Jeff Bookman is an associate at the firm practising in the areas of corporate and commercial and securities law with a particular emphasis in the film, television, and new media industries.
Prior to joining the firm, Jeff was an associate at entertainment law firms in Toronto and Los Angeles, where he represented production companies, financiers, distributors, broadcasters, and talent (actors, writers, and directors) in connection with the development, financing, production, and distribution of film, television, and new media projects.
Jeff obtained his Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at Western University and his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Cornell University. In addition, Jeff studied at the London School of Economics in its Full Year Study Abroad Program in Economics and Economic History. Jeff was admitted to the State Bar of New York in 2014, called to the Bar of Ontario in 2016, and admitted to the State Bar of California in 2020.
While at law school, Jeff worked in the Labour Department of the National Hockey League Players’ Association, where he represented NHL players who filed for salary arbitration.
