Jeff earned a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School where he completed the Tax Law Curricular Stream. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (With Distinction) from Simon Fraser University.

During law school, Jeff was involved in numerous activities including the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic, the Lerners Cup Moot, the Osgoode Hall Law Journal, as well as working as a Research Assistant in the Constitutional Law Department. He was the recipient of the Art Vertlieb Q.C. Award and the Cassels Brock & Blackwell Prize for highest standing in Ethical Lawyering in a Global Community.

His recent paper critiquing the legal underpinnings of the Canadian General Anti-Avoidance Rule was nominated for publication and led to Jeff receiving the Ronald Robertson Q.C. Memorial Tax Prize.

Outside of law, Jeff’s interests include the Toronto Blue Jays, mixed martial arts, and guitar.

Hannah Dodick

Hannah earned a Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor and a Juris Doctor from the School of Law at the University of Detroit Mercy. She obtained Honours in a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Western University.

While in law school, Hannah served as the president of the Windsor Fashion Law Society, assumed a mentorship role to first-year law students as part of the Peer Mentorship Program and participated as a committee member in the annual Movember initiatives. In Michigan, Hannah worked with clients in the Trademark and Entrepreneur Clinic and held an externship position at the Michigan Department of Civil Rights.

Outside of law, Hannah’s interests include music, travelling, and spending time with friends and family.

Kassidy Doherty

Kassidy earned her Juris Doctor (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biopharmaceutical Science (Genomics) (With Distinction) from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Science.

While in law school, Kassidy was a Dean’s Fellow and a Teaching Assistant for Principles of Legal Research. She was also an Assistant and Associate Editor of the Ottawa Law Review. In her final two years of law school, Kassidy was actively involved with the Legal Writing Program at the Faculty of Law as a Legal Writing Leader and sat on the Faculty’s Hiring Committee as the student representative.

During law school, Kassidy received the Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall LLP prize for legal ethics and professional responsibility, and the Justice Karakatsanis Scholarship, which recognizes a law student of Hellenic descent with outstanding academic achievement.

Outside of law, Kassidy’s interests include trying new restaurants, travelling and watching Formula 1.

Alex earned a Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University, where he graduated 4th in his class with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Alex completed his undergraduate studies at Ryerson University where he graduated with distinction and received a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Business and Law.

During his time at Queen’s University, Alex was a 1L Tutor and won the Osler Future Innovators Award. Additionally, he was a member of the Queen’s MBA intramural soccer team.

Outside of law, Alex’s interests include supporting his favourite sports teams, travelling, and keeping up to date with the latest movies and tv shows.

Emma earned a Juris Doctor from The Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Queen’s University and a Master of Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization from McMaster University. Before law school, Emma worked in marketing at a global biopharmaceutical company.

During law school, Emma was a student advisor at The Hatchery, University of Toronto Engineering’s startup incubator. There she supported startups with their legal and business needs. In her final year of law school, she was a research assistant on a Genome Canada project and was involved with the Structural Genomics Consortium. In both roles Emma researched IP policy and pharmaceutical regulation.

Throughout law school, Emma worked as a rock climbing gym route setter and a snowboard instructor. Emma still spends most of her free time climbing, at the gym, or on the slopes.
