In order to keep up with the industries rapid growth, Jeff Bookman joined our firm to continue to build out our Entertainment, Media, (e)Sports & Gaming practice. Jeff has extensive experience in the entertainment and media industries. Prior to joining the firm, Jeff practiced at entertainment law firms in Toronto and Los Angeles, where he represented production companies, networks, financiers, distributors, broadcasters, and talent (actors, writers, producers, and directors) in connection with the development, financing, production and distribution of film, television and new media projects. 

The firm currently acts for a wide range of Entertainment, Media, (e)Sports and Gaming related entities, including Wild Media Entertainment Inc., the National Basketball League of Canada, the Canadian Premier League, Canada’s Walk of Fame and Bell Media.

The International Hockey Group (IHG) Announces Rebrand to WD Sports & Entertainment Inc. – On August 18, 2020, IHG, one of hockey’s leading NHLPA certified agencies, announced its rebranding to WD Sports & Entertainment Inc.

WD Group of Companies Acquires International Hockey Group - WD Group of Companies recently acquired 50% of the outstanding shares of Toronto based NHLPA certified agency IHG in November 2019. Read the full press release here.
