We also represented the Fund in connection with its initial investments in Flipgive, which has developed an innovative fundraising app for sports teams and other organizations; and Daisy Intelligence, an AI- technology company which assists retailers and insurance companies generate significantly improved financial results.
BDC IT Venture Fund in connection with several initial preferred share and follow-on financings in various Canadian technology companies such as TouchBistro, which provides point-of-sale (POS) solutions to the food and beverage industry; Wave Accounting, a leading provider of financial management software for entrepreneurs and small business owners; and GoViral, which has developed a tool for building referral campaigns to rapidly generate high-quality traffic.
Market Square Equity Partners in the formation and financing of its private equity platform as well as its subsequent acquisitions of each of its four portfolio companies, Clean Water Works, D.M. Robichaud Associates, Ontario Excavac and Intelligent Soil Recycling.
Covington Group of Funds in its acquisition and subsequent disposition of Fidelity PAC Metals, a distributor of stainless steel pipes, valves and fittings; its investment in Masstech Innovations Inc. and subsequent sale to FPE Capital, a leading UK-based growth equity investor; and its investment in PlateSpin Ltd., a private Canadian leader in workload lifecycle management solutions and its subsequent acquisition by Massachusetts-based, Novell Inc.
Northern Waters Capital Ltd. in the establishment of the firm and the formation and financing of its initial capital pool as well as its subsequent acquisition of Portofino Bakery Ltd, which operates a wholesale bakery in Victoria, British Columbia. Northern Waters invests in mid-market private companies that exhibit significant growth characteristics and aims to form long-lasting partnerships by actively working to grow companies by providing financial and strategic support.
