Brett Varrin
Overview
Brett is a lawyer practising primarily in the areas of corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial law. Brett first joined the firm as a summer student in 2022 and articled with the firm in 2023–2024.
Brett earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. Prior to his legal education, he attended Ontario Tech University for his undergraduate studies and later pursued a Master of Business Administration at Laurentian University. Brett also successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course.
During law school, Brett served as a research assistant in the area of constitutional law. He also held the position of Vice President for the Windsor Law Hockey Player’s Association and was a member of the Corporate Law Club. In his final year of law school, Brett finished second in his Corporate Finance course.
Before law school, Brett was a member of the men’s varsity hockey team at Ontario Tech University where he earned the prestigious USPORTS All-Canadian Award. Beyond his athletic endeavours, Brett served as a Peer Tutor for members of various athletic teams.
Brett previously served as a supervising lawyer with the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic, which provided legal services to early-stage entrepreneurial ventures on financing and equity structuring matters.
