Overview

Carlye is a lawyer practising primarily in the areas of corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial law. She works with clients across a range of industries, including technology, cannabis and mining. Carlye is a co-chair of the firm’s Culture Committee and a member of the firm’s M&A Practice Group and the Student Committee.

 

Carlye previously served as a supervising lawyer with the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic, which provided legal services to early-stage entrepreneurial ventures on financing and equity structuring matters.

 

She joined the firm as a summer student in 2015 and articled with the firm in 2016–2017. Carlye completed her Juris Doctor at Western University’s Faculty of Law. She holds an Honours Business Administration degree from Western’s Richard Ivey School of Business. At law school, Carlye received the David L. Johnston Prize in Securities Regulation for the highest standing in a securities law course.

 

Prior to law school, Carlye worked as a consultant with IBM in their Global Business Services sector.
