Carlye Bellavia
Overview
Carlye is a lawyer practising primarily in the areas of corporate finance, securities, mergers and acquisitions and corporate and commercial law across a number of industries, including technology, cannabis, investment funds and mining. Carlye is a member of the firm’s M&A Practice Group, Student Committee and Technology Committee.
She joined the firm as a summer student in 2015 and articled with the firm in 2016/2017. Carlye completed her J.D. at Western University’s Faculty of Law. She holds an Honours Business Administration degree from Western’s Richard Ivey School of Business. At law school, Carlye received the David L. Johnston Prize in Securities Regulation for the highest standing in a securities law course.
Prior to law school, Carlye worked as a consultant with IBM in their Global Business Services sector.
Carlye was a supervising lawyer with the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic which provides legal services to early stage entrepreneurial ventures in the financing and equity structuring stages of growth.
