Overview

Leonard (Len) is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate practice group. He brings over 20 years of experience in real estate and land development, having worked with various corporations and law firms throughout the GTA. His deep expertise includes the acquisition and sale of industrial, retail and vacant properties, commercial leasing, as well as acting as both borrower and lender counsel in significant real estate lending transactions.

 

Prior to joining Wildeboer Dellelce, Len served as General Counsel with a real estate developer focused on purpose-built rental developments in the GTA where he led the legal strategy on a wide range of matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings and construction agreements. His leadership in advising senior executives and negotiating complex agreements has made him a trusted and accomplished advisor in the real estate sector. Prior to holding the position of General Counsel, Len was in-house counsel at Orlando Corporation, Canada’s largest privately-owned real estate company and commercial landlord, as well as holding roles with two national law firms.

 

Len’s expertise extends beyond transactional work, encompassing litigation management, corporate governance, labour and employment matters and regulatory compliance.

 

Among his many outside interests, Len is a member of the Foundation at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences based in Whitby, Ontario and former member of the Board of the Canadian International Air Show.
