Rachel Manno

Rachel Manno, Partner at Wildeboer Dellelce LLP

Overview

Rachel (she, her) practises in the firm’s Debt Products practice group.

Rachel practised as a secured lending lawyer at a large, national law firm before joining the law group of RBC Capital Markets, supporting the derivatives solutions group. She left RBC for a fintech, which lends to small businesses, as their general counsel and VP Operations (risk, credit adjudication, loan admin) and ultimately became their Chief Operations Officer.

After the company’s first public offering, Rachel returned to private practice. She has represented lenders and borrowers on cash flow and asset-based loans, securitizations and public-private infrastructure projects. Rachel prides herself on offering the kind of pragmatic advice she relied on at the bank and as a business operator. She approaches her work with equal parts common sense and humour. She prizes high quality work and humility.

Rachel is also a long-time member and supporter of Women in Capital Markets and the firm’s many student and training initiatives.

Rachel’s pastimes include reading, playing tennis, listening to Radiohead, having a drink with the neighbours while the kids play in the street, and going to bed early.

Rachel holds a B.A. (Hons.) in English Literature from Queen’s University, an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Toronto and a J.D. from University of Windsor Faculty of Law. Rachel was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2012.
