Ragu Anantharajah
Overview
Ragu practises in the areas of corporate and commercial and securities law, with a particular emphasis in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance matters. He has acted for both issuer and underwriter clients in connection with a variety of matters including public offerings and private placements of equity and debt, and mergers and acquisitions of public and private entities.
Ragu joined the firm as a summer student in 2014 and completed his articles with the firm in 2015/2016, during which time he completed a secondment in the Corporate Finance Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission. Ragu was also a summer student at a large national firm in 2013.
Prior to completing his law degree at Osgoode Hall, Ragu earned an MBA with a specialization in Finance at McMaster University. While completing his MBA, Ragu completed co-op work placements with a multinational technology company and a pharmaceutical company, as well as with the capital markets fraud investigation and enforcement unit of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
At Osgoode Hall, Ragu obtained two prizes awarded to students for obtaining the highest standing in certain business and tax law courses.
Ragu is a member of the firm’s Students Committee. Ragu is an instructor with the Board Diversity Network, a networking and board-readiness educational program for diverse executives that Wildeboer Dellelce co-founded in 2023 as part of our firmwide diversity initiatives.
Ragu is a member of Alliott Global Alliance, an international alliance of independent professional services firms including accounting firms, law firms, and other specialist services providers. He is also a member of the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA) and former member of the Association of Corporate Growth (ACG) Young Professionals Committee.
