Football Canada Joins Wildeboer Dellelce’s Sports & Entertainment Articling Student Secondment Program

Toronto, ON – October 28, 2026 – Wildeboer Dellelce is pleased to announce that Football Canada has joined the Wildeboer Dellelce LLP Sports & Entertainment Articling Student Secondment Program, further expanding the secondment opportunities available to its Articling Students while strengthening the firm’s relationships within Canada’s sports and entertainment sector.

Launched earlier this year, the program provides Wildeboer Dellelce Articling Students with the opportunity to complete a four- to six-week secondment with a prominent Canadian sports and entertainment organization.

Football Canada joins a growing roster of participating organizations, including the Canadian Olympic Committee, Canada Basketball, Canada Soccer, Hockey Canada, Loft Entertainment and Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.

Through the secondment program, students working directly within Football Canada will gain valuable insight into the legal, commercial and operational considerations involved in governing, promoting and growing amateur and high-performance football across the country. The experience will complement the articling term at Wildeboer Dellelce by providing students with meaningful in-house exposure within Canada’s national governing body for amateur football.

“We are thrilled to welcome Football Canada to our Sports & Entertainment Articling Student Secondment Program,” said Perry Dellelce, Managing Partner of Wildeboer Dellelce.

“The addition of Football Canada reflects the continued growth of the program and our commitment to providing students with exceptional opportunities to broaden their legal and business experience.”

Sanjeev Patel, Partner and Chair of the Student Committee, added, “One of the defining features of this program is the opportunity for students to experience first-hand how legal advice supports organizations operating in dynamic and fast-paced industries. Football Canada’s participation further enhances an already unique articling experience and further demonstrates our commitment to supporting amateur sport in Canada.”

“We are proud to partner with Wildeboer Dellelce on an initiative that brings fresh perspectives, new skills and lasting value to both our organizations,” said Eva Havaris, Chief Executive Officer of Football Canada. “For Football Canada, the program offers an opportunity to support the next generation of legal professionals while advancing our work to grow the game of football across the country.”

The Wildeboer Dellelce LLP Sports & Entertainment Articling Student Secondment Program builds on Wildeboer Dellelce’s longstanding work in the sports and entertainment sector and reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to experiential legal training, innovation and an entrepreneurial approach to client service.
