Overview

Alex is a lawyer practising primarily in the areas of corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial law. Alex first joined the firm as a summer student in 2020 and articled with the firm in 2021-2022.

 

Alex earned a Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University, where he graduated 4th in his class with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.  During his time at Queen’s University, Alex was a 1L Tutor and won the Osler Future Innovators Award. Additionally, he was a member of the Queen’s MBA intramural soccer team.

 

Alex completed his undergraduate studies at Toronto Metropolitan University where he graduated with distinction and received a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Business and Law.

As part of the firm’s partnership with Canada Basketball, the National Sporting Organization for Basketball in Canada, Alex is part of a team of lawyers providing pro bono legal services to BIPOC owned and operated businesses within the Basketball community who have applied, through Canada Basketball, for legal assistance to either launch or grow their businesses.

 

Alex is also a supervising lawyer with the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic which provides legal services to early-stage entrepreneurial ventures in the financing and equity structuring stages of growth.

 

Outside of law, Alex’s interests include supporting his favourite sports teams, travelling, and keeping up to date with the latest movies and tv shows.
