Jesse Brodlieb
Overview
Jesse is a Partner practising in the area of tax.
His practice is broad-based and covers all areas of income tax planning and structuring. Jesse has extensive experience advising high-net-worth families, owner-managers and entrepreneurs on tax and succession planning matters, including business structures, tax planning for private companies, trusts, wills and estates matters, and wealth preservation. He also leads the firm’s Wills, Estates & Trusts practice.
Jesse advises the firm’s mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities and corporate and commercial law practices on tax matters arising at all stages of business transactions, including early-stage entity formation and structuring, public and private financings, and both buy- and sell-side transactions.
Prior to joining Wildeboer Dellelce, Jesse founded his own law firm, Brodlieb Legal, in 2018, after previously practising as a partner in the tax group at Dentons Canada. He began his legal career with Blakes as a first-year summer student in the tax department in 2005.
Jesse has presented at the Canadian Fintech Summit on tax issues affecting start-ups and their investors. He is a member of Alliott Global Alliance, an international alliance of independent professional services firms including accounting firms, law firms and other specialist service providers.
Jesse earned his Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 2007. Before law school, he earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Huron University.
