Rebecca Cochrane

Overview
Rebecca (she, her) is a partner practising corporate and securities law with a focus on venture capital, private equity, M&A, and corporate finance. Rebecca act for funds, founders, underwriters and companies at all stages of the business lifecycle – from early-stage financings through to exits, IPOs and transformative transactions.
Rebecca works with:
- VC, PE and other funds looking to structure vehicles, deploy capital and exit investments efficiently;
- Owner-operators seeking to sell their business in a way that maximizes value and minimizes risk; and
- Special committees and boards navigating complex transactions while meeting fiduciary and regulatory obligations.
Rebecca offers pragmatic advice rooted in each client’s unique business needs. She enjoys working with clients who want to innovate and creatively solve problems.
Rebecca is also an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School teaching Securities Regulation, and is a member of the board of directors of ComKids, a charity that works to bridge technology gaps for youth in under-serviced communities.
Rebecca has repeatedly been named by Best Lawyers as a “One to Watch” in the category of Mergers & Acquisitions.
Rebecca is a member of the firm’s Students Committee.
