Malindu Danthanarayana

Overview
Mal (he, him) is a summer student who is completing his Juris Doctorate at Osgoode Hall Law School and is scheduled to graduate in 2025.
Before entering law school, he completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at the University of Ottawa. During his time there, he received the 2019 RBC Spirit of the Capital Youth Award for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He received this award for founding a startup accelerator that was designed for young entrepreneurs in Ottawa. He also received a National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Undergraduate Student Research Award due to his many pursuits in scientific research.
At Osgoode Hall, Mal serves as one of the vice presidents of the Osgoode Hall Business Law Society and as a senior editor on the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. In his first year of law school, he also had the privilege to assist Professor Kate Sutherland as a Dean’s Fellow for her section A torts class.
Having been born and raised in Ottawa, Mal is forever loyal to the Ottawa Senators. Outside of the law, he loves to weight train in the gym, play any and all kinds of sports, and he loves to try out new recipes in the kitchen.
