Neel Patel
Overview
Neel is a lawyer practising primarily in the areas of corporate finance, securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial law. He regularly acts for both private and public companies across a wide range of industries, including advising on financings, go-public transactions, securities law compliance, corporate governance matters and shareholder disputes.
Neel is also a committee member of ACG Toronto’s NexGen Young Professionals Program, a network for emerging leaders in Canada’s mid‑market M&A community. He also previously served as a supervising lawyer with the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic, which provides legal services to early-stage entrepreneurial ventures on financing and equity structuring matters.
Neel earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa. Prior to law school, he earned an undergraduate degree in Finance from McGill University.
In his free time, Neel enjoys working out, playing sports and watching Scorsese films.
