Neel Patel
Overview
Neel is a lawyer practising primarily in the areas of corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial law. Neel first joined the firm as a summer student in 2022 and articled with the firm in 2023-2024.
Neel is a supervising lawyer with the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic, which provides legal services to early‑stage entrepreneurial ventures at the financing and equity‑structuring stages of growth. Neel is also a member of ACG Toronto’s NexGen Young Professionals Program, a network for emerging leaders in Canada’s mid‑market M&A community.
Neel completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa. During law school, Neel’s coursework centred around business law with an emphasis on corporate finance. He was a member of the Ottawa Tax Law Society and completed a directed research project on the federal government’s legislative policy towards residential real estate. Prior to law school, Neel obtained an undergraduate degree in Finance at McGill University.
In his free time, Neel enjoys working out, playing sports and watching Scorsese films.
