Terra Firma, Dowd & Guild, and Northspec Chemicals Create New Partnership

Northspec Chemicals Corp., a Toronto-based specialty raw material distributor to the CASE, graphic arts, plastics, composites and construction industries, has merged with Terra Firma LLC, a Baltimore-based specialty raw material distributor. Terra Firm is controlled by Goldner Hawn, one of the oldest private equity firms in the United States.

Subsequent to the transaction, Terra Firma and Northspec also merged with Dowd & Guild, based in Laguna Hills, California to establish a bespoke specialty chemicals distributor providing comprehensive sales coverage to the entire United States and Canada.

Wildeboer Dellelce LLP acted for Northspec and its shareholders in connection with the transaction with a team consisting of Troy Pocaluyko, Joel Fraser, Mark Coghlan and Hannah Dodick (M&A/corporate) and Marija Tasevska and member of the tax group (tax).
