WIDEawake Entertainment Group Acquires Death Row Records

WIDEawake-Deathrow Entertainment LLC, a subsidiary of Toronto-based WIDEawake Entertainment Group Inc., acquired certain assets from the bankruptcy estates of Death Row Records Inc. and Marion “Suge” Knight, Jr., including the Death Row Records music catalogue. The purchase price for the assets was approximately US$18 million.

WIDEawake was formed in January 2006 to pursue opportunities in film, music, production and technology. WIDEawake develops film properties, artists, proprietary technology/business models, and multimedia projects.
