Wildeboer Dellelce acts for Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) in the Relocation of Toronto FC II to the City of Barrie
On July 14, 2026, the City of Barrie, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), MLS Next Pro and Barrie Stadium Group announced plans for a new state-of-the-art downtown stadium in the City of Barrie. In connection with such announcement, MLSE entered into an agreement with Barrie Football Club Inc. for the relocation of Toronto FC II to the City of Barrie, with the new stadium set to serve as Toronto FC II’s home stadium beginning with the 2028-2029 MLS Next Pro season.
Wildeboer Dellelce LLP acted for MLSE in connection with the transaction with a team comprised of Perry Dellelce, James Brown and Alex Karlsen (Corporate/Commercial).
