Monex Group Inc., completes acquisition of a majority interest in 3iQ Digital Holdings Inc.

On April 23, 2024, Monex Group Inc. (TYO:8698), a financial services company based in Tokyo, Japan, completed its acquisition of a majority of the outstanding shares of 3iQ Digital Holdings Inc. (“3iQ”). A pioneer in crypto asset management, 3iQ was the first asset manager in North America to launch exchange-listed closed end funds and ETFs for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) and, most recently, the first globally to integrate staking capabilities within an Ethereum ETF.

Wildeboer Dellelce LLP acted for 3iQ in connection with the transaction with a team comprised of Geoffrey Cher, Nathan Holloway and Brett Varrin (M&A and Corporate/Securities) and Marija Tasevska (Tax).
